Greybrook Photography shoots 'on location', meaning together, we pick an outdoor location that compliments you and your family's personality. I like this approach not only for natural light, but it also creates a more relaxed environment (especially for sessions with children).
Greybrook Photography can also come to you and take pictures in the comfort of your own home; this is perfect, particularly for newborn sessions (I bring the setup to you so that you do not have to worry about a thing).
What do we wear?
It can be difficult coming up with a wardrobe for your photo session - even stressful! But it truly does not have to be. Here are some tips I've learned over the years:
- To get started - begin with one outfit you really like and build the wardrobe from there. For example, in the picture below, their daughter is wearing an adorable pink and green patterned dress that started the theme of the rest of the family's outfits:
- Coordinate with your family - matching is not as popular of a choice as it used to be. You do not need to all wear the same colored shirt and pants for people to know that you are a family. Coordinating colors can really bring a wardrobe together and can really express your personality (and your children's) through your wardrobe.
- Wear what you feel good in - plain and simple. If you aren't comfortable in what you've chosen, it will show. So make sure you feel good in what you're wearing.
- Accessorize or add layers. This adds dimension and depth. Add a cardigan or a scarf - finish off a dress with a cute belt or necklace. The possibilities are endless!
- Ask questions! If you would like feedback or have any questions about what to wear, do not hesitate to ask!
Is our session time limited?
Absolutely not. We can take our time to capture the pictures and the moments that you desire. This is especially the case when taking pictures with children; sometimes they need a break and that is completely okay.
When and how are my photos available?
With your permission, a sneak peak is posted on my blog, typically in the first 24 hours after your session. Depending on the time of year, it takes between one to three weeks (weddings excluded) to professionally edit your images. Once your images have been edited, you will be contacted directly to arrange to meet, or to have them mailed. Your images will be provided to you on a CD/DVD, with the rights to your images included for personal use.
CD's, DVD's or USB's?
A standard photography package includes a CD/DVD with your digital negatives - as with all CD's and DVD's, it is important to ensure that they are cared for to protect your photos. It is recommended that your CD or DVD is kept in a dark and dry place. Please note that exposure to sunlight, water or extreme temperatures may cause damage to your images.
All wedding photography packages include a USB key with your digital negatives, a complimentary upgrade as a gift to you from Greybrook Photography.
